What is ZDfB?

ZDfB, short for Certificate German for the Profession ( Certificate in German language exam) (Certificate in German for the Workplace), is a German language exam specifically designed for professional and business contexts. It was jointly developed by the Goethe Institute and the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK). This exam certifies intermediate-level (B2) German proficiency with a focus on workplace-related communication , including business correspondence, telephone conversations, report writing , and professional presentations . While the ZDfB exam is no longer offered in its original form, its legacy continues through other workplace-oriented exams like TELC Deutsch B1-B2 Berufs .
